Pre-School Sessions in the Hall

A Typical Day:

Our morning session runs from 9am – 12.45pm. The doors open at 8.50 for you to bring your child in and get them settled and ready for the morning. Children are registered as they enter so once your child is settled you may leave.

We organise our sessions so that the children can choose from a wide range of activities. Every day we have available a role play area, a climbing frame and a free expression area, as well as an extensive range of toys for the children to choose from. The children are also helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and large group activities which introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills, as well as helping them to learn to work with others.

Outdoor activities contribute to children’s health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them. We make sure the children have lots of opportunity for varied and interesting outdoor play each day.

Children have a mid-morning snack at the “cafe” table where we provide either water or milk to drink. We provide a snack of carrot sticks or cheese, or alternatively children can bring their own healthy snack (fruit or vegetable). On a child’s birthday we generally have homemade cakes. We then have a break for a story.

In addition to this morning core session, we also offer an afternoon core session which runs from 12.00 – 2.45pm on Monday to Thursday.  The doors will open at 11.50 for children to arrive, register and settle in.  They will need to bring a packed lunch which will be eaten between 12.00-1pm, followed by free play.
